Hey, I'm James Mills, most people call me J.t. or Jimmy, and I'm from Clarks Summit, PA (around the Scranton area). I like to do many things. We should talk about it sometime. Feel free to message me on AIM at AmazSpiderman1 or on Yahoo on FL4MEon.
Favorite Scott Pilgrim character(s):

I can agree with you on "Torture Porn sucks". I haven't seen much of it, but that is mainly because of the stuff I have seen has kept me thousands of theoretical feet away from the rest of them.
I feel as though your desire to type your feelings has out done your desire to read my words.
You made some legitimate arguments. Yes, most of the monsters were taken straight out of the game. Regardless of this already known fact, they still looked like play-duh versions of their original selves. But if you liked the way they looked, that's fine. That does not bug me in the least; however, they still looked like a non edible children's toy to me.
Yes, the setting was straight out of the game, the characters were straight out of the game, the monsters and the music were straight out of the game, but that doesn't mean they did any of those elements to my liking. It's like they made a box that says "Silent Hill The Movie Inside", and the box is spectacular. The box has all the wonderfully faithful to the game things you mentioned. But it seems that when I opened the box it was mostly empty. Filled with false promises, and a list of things that they could have done better.
Also, different things scare different people. I didn't find Saw 2 or 3 scary at all. I thought there were some sick traps, but it wasn't scary. Audition made me jump. The movie had parts that scared me, even though a lot of it was not suppose to scare you. And granted your right, they could have done a lot worse with the Silent Hill movie. In fact, I wish they would have, so I wouldn't have to explain to people why I loathed every God-Forsaken frame of it.
Ultimately our bickering is futile. If you like the movie, that is fine, your allowed. I'm not going to insult your intelligence or taste in movies because of it. What we like as movies, or music, or whatever is all do to our person opinion. Who knows why we like what we like? Does it matter?... Maybe. Anyway, we can both live our lives separately and in peace. You can continue enjoying the movie, and I can continue farting on it every time I see a copy of it at a friends house... Or at the store.
(I advise against buying copies of the movie, for I may have contaminated it with butt fumes. You have been warned.)
It was cheesy.
It wasn't scary.
It was boring.
The ending was unforgivably awful.
It was lame.
The Nurses looked lame.
Armless Acid Spitting Dude Monster looked lame.
The Knife Babies looked lame.
Anything that was not part of the main "find the little girl" plot was weak.
It was predictable.
It discredited the name "Silent Hill"
I wasted $6 dollars on it.
*Good things about "Silent Hill" the movie:
Red Pyramid did look kinda neat.
The sets looked good.
It gave crew members work.
Hey Jimmy, I don't use brushes I use Sakura pens in various sizes. Now I've seen inkers use all sorts of pens but when I was drawing with Brandon Graham and Becky Cloonan I noticed they pulled out the same ones I use so at least I am nto too far behind the game :)
Also, for large black areas I use a Sharpy. The scanner isn't smart enough in black & white mode to pick out the differences in hue of black ink.
I think my photoshop may be even older but I do the shading on separate layers and then fuck with the opacity in the top of the 'Layer' window.
As for color, I am sure there is one in the Effect menu but you probably need to make sure the colors on on a separate layer than your inks as it will then dot matrix your inks
Hey Jimmy, what I tend to do is color in with a dark grey or even a black the sections I want shaded and then I play around with the opacity setting on themtill I get it where I want it

It's Japanese I believe.
