This is an attempt to compile a list of interesting music that most people will not have heard of or music you just think is amazing so that other people here (presumably with similar taste) can scroll down, discover then obtain some good new music.

The 'Experiment' is that this is NOT an ''Discussion''. Please no discussing. The idea is to make a concise list of music so that people do not have to wade through pages of comments of people agreeing or disagreeing with other people's opinions.

Follow example bellow. (websites not requited but helpful) Try not post obviously mainstream or famous music eg. things in the charts. But keep in mind what is mainstream to you may never have been heard of by other people. eg an early Muse album. If you have lots to share - post multiple times.

Hopefully this will aid the people with similar taste discover new music easily.

Let's begin.

-Note: I don't really understand this whole "album" thing. I'm posting bands, most of which only have one album out. Also... giving music without opinion or notes just seems silly.

Florence and the Machine.
For any fans of Kate Nash, or Bats for Lashes.

IO Echo
Slowly gaining prominience in Los Angeles' music scene, they are one of the best bands in recent memory.

Cage the Elephant
Very Raw, very talented quartet (I believe).

Yelle
Pop. In French.

Mika Miko
Harkens back to Punk's golden age, of simplistic commentary.

Elephant Parade
Cutesy acoustic sets. Simplistic, but uplifting.

Company of Thieves
Made my top 3 bands of all time after only two weeks. Extremely hard list to make.

Be Your Own Pet
Bikini Kill-esque. Punk, with indie sensibilities.

Soko
The most depressing female singer you'll ever listen to. And she pronounces Cinema very cute. English-French artist.

The Answering Machine
Comes off as a cross between Los Campsinos, Bloc Party, and Tokyo Police Club.

The Salteens
Good old fashion happy pop.

Poet In Process
I only really like this song at all.

The Sea and the Cake
Reminiscent of fellow Indie rockers Foals and Spinto Band

Golden Dogs
Generally fun indie 4 piece.

People in Planes
Reminds me of Kings of Leon.

Trouble Over Tokyo
Ben Gibbard + Justin Timberlake = Toph of Trouble Over Tokyo
One socially awkward man, pushing himself to get on stage day after day, with a fantastic voice.

The Mystery Jets
2 Parts The Cure, 1 part special guest stars, and amazing 80's style, mix, and you get MJ.

The Thermals
All of the best aspects of 90's rock, without any of the worst.

Grand Ole Party
Think Jack White with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, except if Karen O was also the drummer... and you get fantasticism.

Her Space Holiday
Fantastic commercial music.

Delta Spirit
Absolutely don't judge this band by the way the dress (which is admittedly horrible).

The Films
Are one of the most fuckin' hard bands to find on youtube.

Ida Maria
...is oodles of fun. Nuff said.

And I am tired.

If I may...

Undiscovered music usually attracts the indie crowd. As such, we don't go looking for new music from other people without discussion.

The only times I've ever accepted bands from others is if I either know them really well, or if I have a conversation with them about music. If someone says, "Oh hey, this band you suggested is awesome, you should listen to SO AND SO," then I pay attention. And I usually suggest music the same way.

I don't think a souless list will work George.

Now to make this a legitimate post within this thread...

Jukebox the Ghost
...Are on the tour Ben Folds... and he loves them.
