New Music Experiment

This is an attempt to compile a list of interesting music that most people will not have heard of or music you just think is amazing so that other people here (presumably with similar taste) can scroll down, discover then obtain some good new music.

The 'Experiment' is that this is NOT an ''Discussion''. Please no discussing. The idea is to make a concise list of music so that people do not have to wade through pages of comments of people agreeing or disagreeing with other people's opinions.

Follow example bellow. (websites not requited but helpful) Try not post obviously mainstream or famous music eg. things in the charts. But keep in mind what is mainstream to you may never have been heard of by other people. eg an early Muse album. If you have lots to share - post multiple times.

Hopefully this will aid the people with similar taste discover new music easily.

I know there was the whole no discussion stipulation, but I'm not actually addressing anything mentioned below. For me, a large part of getting into new music was finding it on my own. Growing up, I didn't have other people to guide me. And even when I did encounter people with similar taste, I was always reluctant to take their suggestions. I liked the trial and error aspect of it. I think it's more enjoyable when you discover it yourself.

I don't know. To just have this list, it seems a little like cheating to me. But at the same time, I'd hate to deny anyone the pleasure of music.

I've also had Death Cab's new EP on repeat in my car. That's right, four songs over and over, that's how good they are. But they probably aren't cool.
