Scott dot Ning

In a group of comics fans there have to be some other people here who are interested in writing/drawing for a career, or at least dabble in it enough to have their stuff be posting online. Do you have a webcomic? Do you write short fiction, or hell, even long fiction? Are you a photographer? Have you created some obscene new genre of art hitherto unknown to mankind?

Tell us what you do, why you do it and then link us up to some of your work.

I'll start this out myself...

I fancy myself a writer, and would like to make a career out of writing one day. Whether that be in the field of comics or in novels or short-story collections, I have no idea. We'll see where the wind takes me.

I have two sites where I've got some of my work stored away:

Something is Killing the Children - My new writing blog. My goal is to do at least one vignette a week. I literally just started there, so there's only one short piece up. Check it out, and keep checking to see when i post some new stuff.

My Homepage on Nymphic.net - Links to some of my artwork on DeviantArt as well as archives some of my older work. This site is going to get a major revamp this summer.

Look forward to seeing what everyone else posts.

I have a webcomic. It is actually a parody of Scott Pilgrim. I will reveal it at a later date, however. Should happen when I finish the first chapter.

Some of my artwork is here.

I'll be interested to see it... Is the poster in your deviantart account from this webcomic? If so, it looks like you have the feel for BLO'M's style down pretty well.

Yes actually, I've been drawing in the style for a bit now.

well, let me know when you're willing to reveal the comic!

I am an animator (mostly in training) and this is my blog

I also worked in this film about 2 years ago, my contribution was fairly minimal, but I got a credit! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8fUzzwHBAA

The animation on your page is good. I like the life drawings on your page.

Also, "Blasted Angels" is a fantastic animation. Really thought-provoking.

Thanks! I've made a few short films by myself, but I tend not to put them online.

Your Scott Pilgrim inspired poster is pretty awesome!

What part of the youtube video did you work on? I mean, i guess it wouldn't be any single scene, but how in general do you work on a collaborative project like that?

But yeah, excellent work.

I did work on the scene where Lucy's Mum comes into a close up on the screen (near the beginning in the hospital), the bit when she raises up her arms and when she is falling (but not the wings, they were added later). I didn't do any colouring, they had another set of people specifically for that. My friend Claire animated the bit where Lucy is pressing the buttons on the remote which I always thought was a pretty good piece of animation for a then 2nd year student.

Well, very nice work.

That was so fresch. To be honest, I think the plot was kind of unoriginal. But the animation was seriously cool.
