Here we post songs that, at the moment, we cannot stop listening to. Where we found it, and why we love it.

For me, my favorite song as of now is "Assassin" by the Muse. I found it when I watching a video of people using spies in TF2. I first got into the Muse not too long ago when my friend introduced me to them, and since then I've been looking for more songs by them. I found this song, and I simply fell in love at first lesson. It probably has the most hellish pace of any Muse song I've listened to while still managing to have a feeling thats not unlike classical music.

At the moment it's Starman by David Bowie. And the Seu Jorge cover of it. Basically the entire Life Aquatic soundtrack.

Right now it's Second Hand Stores by Athlete. It's off their new record Beyond the Neighbourhood. A friend of mine sent me their first two albums a few years ago, the first I liked a lot, and the second I wasn't so much a fan of. The song itself is really pretty, but gets fast and rock-y in the right parts. The lyrics are pretty sweet too.

Hmmm... right now I think it would be Elephant Gun by Beirut. For some reason, it has had a resurgence in my listening habits. I love it because it is so grand and his voice rocks. Also, I play ukulele. so any song using the instrument gets bonus points.

I was gonna say Postcards From Italy. in fact, I will anyway, good shout on the Beirut call. On another website I use someone nominated the trumpet solo in Elephant Gun as the greatest ever.

Woo, that exact same thing happened to me with Assassin. And a bunch of other Muse songs. I was hooked on Knights of Cydonia from the first listen, and I still love it.
At the moment, I'm stuck on Liam Finn's song Second Chance, possibly because I'm going to his concert tonight!
And for everyone who doesn't have the slightest idea who Liam Finn is...

Choronzon, by Tangerine Dream

It's packed with energy and it's succinct. I love TD's side-length soundscapes from the 70s, but there is something special about the gems that stand out amongst their shorter, less experimental 80s stuff.

"Call it Off" by Tegan and Sara. That song is addictive. My MP3 player died recently so I've had to revert back to the old discman, but their new album is pretty great so it doesn't matter all that much. I've pretty much been switching between them and Arcade Fire. (I'm writing this on a Scott Pilgrim forum; Canadians are ruling my world right now.)

Call it Off has emerged as the favourite of the album, though. It's catchy and heartbreaking, it's not all that complicated a tune but it works so well. Analysing music isn't a real skill of mine, so I'll just leave it at that, but I love it.

Right now, it's a dead heat between "No World For Tomorrow" by Coheed & Cambria (really, the entire album of the same title, but that song most of all), and "The One" by Kylie Minogue. The latter song I want to use as my theme song in rock paper scissors tournaments, and choreograph elaborate dance numbers to it for my entrances, just like Genki Sudo.

Seu Jorge cover of all those David Bowie songs for Life Aquatic are awesome. I read somewhere he took alot of liberties with the lyrics and just kinda left the beat and added his own lyrics, but i don't speak Portuguese so how do i know. I really am liking the song Sunday girl by Blondie. Its been used a lot for the movie Margot at the wedding. It was pretty awesome i was listening to it to the mall then they played it in banana republic. Good job with the mind reading BP

Yeah, he supposedly changed some of the lyrics to follow the story of the film more closely.
